Flexible Duct is commonly used in ventilation and air conditioning systems. 

NZBC H1/VM3 - Energy efficiency of HVAC systems in commercial buildings has requirements for the provision of insulation to ducting systems flexible ducting requires a minimum insulation R value of 1.0 m²K/W 

1. Material Composition:

   • The Trade Flex Duct R1.0 Inner Core is manufactured from one layer of clear PET, bonded to one layer of metalised PET with water based adhesive resin, encapsulating high tensile strength steel wire.
   • The Outer Jacket is manufactured from one layer of clear PET and one layer of metallised PET, bonded together with water based adhesive resin.

2. Insulation:

   • The duct features a polyester thermal blanket insulation that meets rigid standardsto achieve a nominal thermal rating of R 1.0

3. Temperature:

   • Operating Temperature: It can withstand temperatures ranging from -10°C to +80°C.

4. General Use:

   • Suitable for both heating and cooling systems.
   • Used in domestic and commercial ventilation.

5. Compliance:

   • Manufactured in Australia to Australian Standard (AS) 4254.2021
   • Test certificates are available to verify its performance.
