Incoloy 800 Sheath elements for air and liquid heating.
Ideal for use in many tpyes of acid/alkaline situations.

MPE Construction:

• All BJC MPEs are constructed from the highest grade materials.
• All BJC MPEs are uniformly annealed for ease of forming.
• 1/8” Whitworth terminal pins allow for universal connections.
• M16 compression bushes for ease of mounting are available.

All elements are rated at 235V
All elements are sealed using high temp epoxy suitable for temperatures up to 180°C

FORMING INFORMATION

All units may be formed on a minimum bend radius of 25mm. They must not be bent in the “no bend area” which is 80mm in from end of sheath.

This point is marked on elements. DIYB8 Brass Compression and DIYS8 Plate Steel Fittings may be fitted to any part of the 80mm cold zone.

 

The heater should be formed “cold” and  should not be reformed once it is bent.

The heater should be clamped firmly in place and must be formed over a smooth surface.

If several heaters are to be formed a forming fixture should be fabricated.

The minimum bending radii should be closely observed.
 

Illustrations show ease with which multi-purpose elements can be shaped, using a mandrel or simple bending jig.
